DEBT COLLECTIONS

WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?

We strive to reach a high success rate in collecting your outstanding debt.

HOW DO WE GET YOUR FILES?

It couldn’t be easier… Email. All you do is send us an email containing the following information:

  • Outstanding statement of debtor.
  • Attached forms completed in full.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

Once the files with the required information are received, our clerks work to start collecting your money immediately.

  • The file gets loaded onto the system
  • The debtor is contacted in order to make payment arrangements.
  • The system automatically sends a sms containing our banking details and the debtors’ reference number.
  • The promised payment gets followed up.

  • In the event that no payment is received for a time period of three consecutive months, a final demand is issued and the debtor is ITC Listed.
  • Files which have been listed, are still followed up.
  • We continue with legal action, on instruction of our client.

The debtor pays directly into our Trust account. The system then portions the paid amount and allocates a percentage to fees, 10% collection commission and yourself.

Should the debtor pay directly to you, we request that a transfer be made to us for that amount in order for us to be able to allocate it.

Feedback reports are sent monthly and payments are made every second month.

FCB Debt Collections is registered with the Council For Debt Collectors. Our fees and costs are prescribed by the Councils publication in the Government Gazette, yearly.

Lawsuit against a debtor requires permission and funding from the client (you). Please note that we do not sue for less than R5000.00 and use a separate Attorney for this. The permission form will be supplied.

The debtor remains responsible for all file costs unless one of the following happens:

  • The file is retracted by you for any reason.
  • The outstanding amount on the file is unsuccessfully collected.
  • The file is closed prematurely without the cost being fully retrieved.
  • The debtor is successfully listed and still refuses to settle his account. This cost is R60.00 per debtor.

We stay in frequent contact with your representative in order to solve any issue that may arise.

Should you decide that you no longer wish to make use of our service,  a written notice period of one month is required. Your files will then be fully consolidated and you will be responsible for any outstanding cost amount.
